As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning,..

--- Exo 17:11 (NIV)

Dear friend,
In life you need people around you who support you and care for you. You need people who will pray for you and be your backup at a time of great need. We are told in Exodus 17:11 how Israelites were able to defeat their enemies as long as Moses’s hands were held up. Moses’s failure to raise his hands would mean the defeat of his people.

I will never forget a time in when I was to present a paper and had asked prayer worriers to pray for me at the exact time I was to speak. It so happened that someone who was to present before me never showed up and I was asked to present first. I refused to present my paper because I had asked people to pray for at the exact time I had been scheduled. This is exactly what happened. People prayed for me and I presented my paper and the results were excellent. I needed their support because God works in many ways and their prayer was my backup. You need a backup in whatever you intend to do.

When Peter was in prison, he was expecting to die any time because of the kind of work he was doing for God and also had many enemies. While in prison, people prayed for him and were crying for God’s intervention. Miraculously, Peter was released from prison mainly because people backed him up with prayer. When your husband is going to negotiate a business venture, your role as a wife is to back him up with prayer.

Just remember this; two are better than one. If you work as a team, you will defeat the enemy but if you isolate yourself from other people, then you will have no support. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.” Exo 17:12-13
I love you.
